開拓2年目のこの地からは雨の合間に毎晩カブトムシが飛び立っていく。一年目にただ燃やすは…と躊躇した竹の枝葉はウッドタッパーで粉砕し、分解を早める為に米糠を混ぜて放置した。そこは太ミミズが増え鶏の餌場になりやがてカブトムシの幼虫だらけになった、鶏に見つからなかった者達が最近完全変態を終えたらしい。遊びに来る子たちにカブトムシの幼虫要らない？と聞いても反応が薄かったのに本日は2家族のボーイズがやってくる。満足してくれたらいいな〜

土地があれば簡単に(勝手に)呼び込めるので落ち葉を集めて米糠撒いてみよう、来年は庭からカブトムシが現れるよ！そして残った土で野菜や花を育てようね、循環って素晴らしい〜

Rhinoceros beetles fly out every night when not raining. The last year when we started living this land we had so much bamboos to reduce the volume. So I put branches with leaf into a wood chipper and mixed with rice bran to quicken the process. Soon chickens started digging for worms. Then hundreds of beetle larva I found. After so much abuse by chickens some did complete metamorphosis. Whenever children comes I offer them to bring back some larva but no one did. But actual today two boys from two family is visiting for Rhinoceros beetles. I hope they can get some.

BTW if you have some extra land you can grow them easily. Get a lot of leaves, mix some rice bran or sth then wait the next summer. You’d see them flying out of your yard and the soil get richer!
