我が家には蝿が多くなる時がある、即席ハエタタキをダンボールで作ったけど仕留めるにはコツが必要な粗悪品。竹細工で作れないかな～と思いリサーチすると昔はシュロの葉を加工したものが一般的だったらしい事がわかった。

Sometimes flies annoy us so I made a fly racket with cardboard. Which was not working well…I thought maybe I could use bamboo to make better one. Then found out that hemp palm was the best use!

裏山に小さいげど棕櫚があるので取って来て加工、加工と言っても切って細かく裂いて紐で留めるだけだから簡単～

Luckily we have a little hemp palm on our property. Cut it as you like then separate along the leaf vein. Then tie two lines with threads. That’s all~

これ良い、程よい弾力で勢いがついて命中率は横のダンボール製とは比べ物にならないほど。自然いっぱい資源いっぱい！

This is perfect! The hemp has a nice flexibility and that makes it easy to catch them.
