それは物干し場と物干し竿。

洗濯物を干したり、布団を干したり、家事を担っている私にとって無くてはならいもの。

今の物干し竿といえば鉄やアルミニウム、ステンレスなとの金属製のものが主流だけど、かつては竹でした。

さおや～さおだけ！の竿竹(さおだけ)は竹から来ているんだね～

ネットで調べたら竹を紐で縛るだけで簡単に物干し場を作れることがわかり、有り余るほどある竹を活用できるうえに、買わずに作れてしまうならやらない手はない！

What do we need for this life?

That’d be a hang place.

To dry clothes, futon and brackets. I take the housework so I need this. If you look for these in Japan it’s made of stainless steel or aluminum. But once upon a time we used bamboos.

I looked up and found simple a bamboo hang. Well we have bamboos more than we could use!

ということで、作業へ。

竹林から同じサイズ感の竹を探すのに意外と時間がかかったけれど、物干し場用の竹を6本と物干し竿用の竹1本を切り出した。

Let me do this!

It took me a while collecting similar sized bamboos. Six of them for the stand and one for the hang pole.

物干し場用の竹を同じ長さに切り揃え、三本ずつ紐で縛ったらもう出来上がり！

Then cut them up the same length and tied three of them together. Made two set and done!

丈夫なうえに移動も簡単にできる優れもの。

Well it’s sturdy and easy to move around.

子どもの頃、お日様をたっぷり浴びたあとのふかふかの布団が大好きだったわたし。

長年ベッド生活が続いていたので、再び布団生活に戻れて心底嬉しい。

布団を干すことが日々の日課と喜びに。

When I was little I loved fluffy futon after basking under the warm sun.

It’s been a while sleeping on futon daily. I’m really happy to use it again also to hang it under the sun!
