寒い時期は薪ストーブで料理をするが、暖かくなったら小さな小屋の中で熱源は使いたくない、そこで春に下屋と流し付きのカウンターを作った。

I wanted to make an annex with a kitchen attached to Hapi Hut. It’s a tiny hut and we needed more space.

切り出した杉の丸太を皮剥きして上部に二段ホゾ、下部を焼き掘立る。小屋の玄関側の柱にホゾ穴を開けて角材で掘立柱と連結、その上から渡り顎で柱同士を連結して構造体とした。

Cut down one cedar and separate it in two pillars. Burn the bottom part so it’d last longer in the ground.

屋根は3.3m×3.3mのポリコットンのタープを竹で作ったフレームに張った。

I choose polyester-cotton tarp for the roof. It’s 3.3×3.3m tie it on bamboo flame.

シンクとカウンターはテント前のアウトドアキッチンをバラして組み直した。

The counter was moved from the tent. It’s a new style with shichirin stoves.

母屋からソーラーパネル4枚を小屋に移動してバッテリーは桁に吊るし、冷蔵庫、洗濯機を移動。

Also the main battery and solar panels were moved to Hapi Hut.

蚊帳を張りたかったので悩んだ末に床を作る事にした。軽く整地して竹炭を敷き、その上に竹を並べる。テラが遊べるようにテントから畳を持ってきたらHapi Hutの下屋になりました。

Leveled the dirt floor then spread bamboo charcoals. Cut bamboos and laid them on the floor. Make it even with Tatami mat so Terra can move around. It was a hot summer Terra enjoyed bathing here.
