コンポストトイレは前回で完成、今回はそのトイレを置く場所を廃材と竹で作る。

New compost toilet has done building. Now time to set up a shed with scrap and bamboo!

基礎無しで地面を均して瓦を置き廃材フレームを乗せる。屋外シャワーで壁にしたのと同じように割った竹を編んでいってフレームに固定して壁が完成。

No base but leveled the ground then put “kawara” tiles on it. Bind split bamboos together like I did for the wall of the stardome shower.

ドアを付けてトイレを設置、尿はホースを通って半分埋めた一升瓶の中に貯める。使用後の紙は新聞紙で作った袋の中へ、溜まったら袋ごと焼却。PCTで使っていたハンディーウォシュレットや線香は好みでどうぞ～

Put a door on and set up the compost toilet. Urine goes into half buried bottles. Wasted paper throw into a news paper bag. The handy washlet (one I used on PCT) and for cleaning if you like.

使いながら少しづつ改良中だけど驚いたのが発酵熱が思った以上だった事。床材には腐葉土と米糠を使用、毎巻攪拌するから発酵が進み水分の蒸発が凄い。その水分が便座の板を膨張させて蓋が開けにくい状態になった、それを解消するために便座を少し削ったら今度は隙間からコバエが侵入…はぁ～。あとハンドルの改造が必要かな、単純に重いから、まあちょっとづつ改善していきまーす！

I’ve been improving it time by time. What surprised me was the heat it creates. I put leaf mold and rice bran in it for accelerate fermenting. The heat makes water to evaporate and that moisture expand the wooden seat. Off course the expanded seat stack and hard to open so I shaved a little then flies got in…sigh. Also content got harder so the mixing is not smooth.

Well I’ll try something to improve it later. Let’s see!
