まだまだ朝の冷え込みもきつい日も、でも昼間は半袖。テント暮らしの我々には記録的な暖冬はありがたいかぎりです。

Still cold in the morning. Then if it’s a sunny day I took most of clothes off. It was a real warm winter this year and it was a huge help for us. You know we live in a tent.

竹の整理もひと段落で作業小屋作り再開～

It’s been hard work cutting bamboo. And we did almost the amount I wanted to clear. Back to my workspace yeah!

柱と納屋を梁で繋いで垂木を這わすと一気に進んだ感じ！

Connecting the shed with two beams then putting rafters on top. It looks like a roof already don’t you think?

でもその上に張る竹屋根が作業が止まってた一番の理由。最初は半割りの竹を上下交互に敷き詰める計画も４mの長さで作ると中々上手くいかなかった、そこで四つ割にしたら少々の竹の曲がりも組み合わせで凌げたから採用。但し結構な手間とかなりの重量…波板買って来れば早いよな～

Well my concern was the roof parts. I wanted to make it with bamboo but it consumes time. Also it 4m long and heavy… You know buying stuff is much easier but if you buy materials for DIY then you can do it anywhere. I wanna use what I can find here. Still I might change the plan to reduce the work…let’s see.
