洗濯をするのは朝ピカピカに晴れてるとき。こういう日は不思議と洗濯がしたくなる。

はじめての洗濯から片手で数えられるほどの洗濯しかしていないけど、少しずつ洗濯に慣れてきている。

I do laundry only shinny sunny morning. The day like that makes me want to do.

I only have a few experience since the first time. And I’m getting used to it each time.

基本的に作業着、部屋着の2サイクルなので、洋服の洗濯はほとんどない。

洗濯の定番は手ぬぐい、キッチンクロス、下着、靴下。

洗濯ものをタオル類、靴下類、下着類、汚れものと小分けにして洗うと一度にごちゃまぜにして洗うより洗いやすいことがわかった。それぞれを洗って、濯ぎを2回ずつするので相変わらず洗濯の時間は2時間くらいかかっている。

でも逆をいえば洗濯に2時間費やせる時間の余裕がありがたい。

Basically we wear room clothes then work clothes. Not much time we wear normal clothes. Kitchen towels and underwear are the must.

Separating clothes into categories like towels, socks, underwear and dirty ones. That actually works better than washing them together. Still takes two hours to be done. And I’m happy to have that much time for laundry.

はじめのうちは全部洗濯板で擦っていたけど、昭和のくらしについて書かれた本に「洗濯板は汚れのひどいものを洗う時に使うといい」と書いてあったのを参考に今は靴下や汚れのひどいものは石鹸をつけて洗濯板で洗い、それ以外のものは押し洗いをしている。

真っ黒になったノブの白い靴下も洗濯板で擦るとみるみる汚れが落ちていくので気持ちがいい。

この洗い分けは一度に洗う洗濯機にはできないことだな～と手洗いのよさを感じている。

At first I used the washing board for everything. Now I read a book that says you use a washing board only something dirty. Other than that just push them with hands.

Nobu’s darken socks become white again with the board. And that’s fun seeing it changing!

So if you use this separate washing method with a machine it’d take two hours right? I can beat a machine soon!

ヨーロッパを旅したときから、ロープに洗濯物を干すことに憧れていたのだけど、そんな夢もいつの間にかいまこここに。

風にそよぐ洗濯物もなんだか嬉しそう。

日常の風景の美しさに胸がときめく。

I dreamed about hanging clothes in ropes. It was a time I was traveling in Europe seeing colorful clothes on a rope in back ally.

Well I’m seeing them here and views of my daily life become richer.
