竹を組んだドームを作りたいと前々から思っていた。

Bamboo Dome was on thr one of my wishlist.

調べてみると九州大学の九州フィールドワーク研究会(野研)が開発して全国に広めているスタードームなるものがあった。

On my research I found “Stardome”. Yaken(Kyushu Fieldwork Group) invented and distributing the blueprint of stardome.

そちらのサイトではスタードームの図面から作る手順までの詳細や作った人々の情報まで掲載されている。図面は連絡先とプロジェクトの内容等をメールすると頂けるのである。

Their site explains how to build the stardome with details. If you send your contact and your project you can get the blueprint!

早速メールしたけど待ちきれないのでテストも兼ねて小さなスタードームを作ってみることに。作りたいのは直径２メートル弱のもの、使用用途は何にしようかな～

Well I sent them an email last night but I couldn’t wait the reply. So let’s make the test piece without blueprint!

長さ3mの竹10本を八つ割にして小さな星に大きな星を重ねて～

Create ten thin bamboo rods, set five of them up with small star mark. Then other five making big star mark. And tie them together.

立ち上げてさらに5本の竹を編み込むと、スタードーム完成、これに渓が大喜び！先週来てたヨガの先生のよしえちゃんもあったら瞑想しただろうな～

Curved it a dome then weaved another five bamboos. Wow that was it and this made Kei happy. Yoshie-chan, she visited here last week, would have done meditation in it

テストピースは庭に積んであった枝葉をウッドチップマシーンで粉砕したものを詰めたスタードームコンポストになりました。使い勝手はどうか分からんが見た目はいいね。

さて次は何に使おうかな～

This one became stardome-compost. We had a mountain of leaves and branches on our garden. Crushed them with the chipper and looks much better in it!
