This is the last stretch of Southern California. And I wanna finish it in one push, force to have the biggest walk!

残り66kmで最初の区間にあたるカリフォルニア南部が終了、どうにか1日で終わらしたかったので今までで最長のハイクに挑戦！

Started 5am from Hiker Town and within a mile corpses lying along the trail. It’s windy out here, they gave up pitching their tents.

朝5時にハイカータウンを出発、1kmも行かないうちに死体のように横たわるハイカー達がチラホラ。風が強いからテント張れなかったのね～

Joshua Tree

Road walk then on aqueduct for 20miles flat!

道路歩きとコンクリートで覆われた水路の上を30km以上歩く、かなり歩きやすく順調～

No water for the first 17miles.

This place is the largest wind farm consisting of 5,000 windmills! And after this the walk was painfully against the wind.

最初の水場まで28km。

水路の周りには5,000機の風車、ここはアメリカ一の風力発電所なのだ！そしてここからは逆風の中歩かなくてはならない…

Every once in a while there is Trail Resister to sign in.

時々現れるトレイルレジスター、何かあった時のために日付と名前を記入。

Of course, the last 5miles were in the wind farm again and it was gusty like in typhoon. Today was certainly the most challenging day but I made it by sunset!

Ok now I need a good rest.

最後にまた風車の近くを歩くことに、時に台風の様な強風に吹かれるも、どうにか日没時にトレイルから脱出。計算外の強風がこの日を本当のチャレンジにした、明日はちゃんとした休息を取ることに～
