The mountain through a little hut window was growing red. Nice weather again.
“Nothing behind!” Double checked and left the hut but soon I realized we left our trekking poles. They were behind the door, classic!
Farmland by the river was many cows and bulls. Their voice was echoing in a silent morning. I think I never heard them before and impressed.
Some parts of forest was quite hard to walk because of fallen trees destroyed the trail, no markers no sidle routes nothing but many traces of hikers. We heard afterwards it happened 2 weeks ago with the tropic cyclone. We were at St.Arnaud and it wasn’t too bad but here it is surprisingly damage caused.
I was still tired finically and mentally from hard walks the last few days also not enough sleep last night. I couldn’t find a joy in the walk just kept moving.
The longest swing bridge ever! The hut was close, climbing up hills and Robin came up to me. I was exhausted so I stopped walking to ask her where the hut is? then Robin jumped closer and closer touched my shoe and left. When I looked up actually the hut was there.
Nobu was talking with three old guys veteran trampers who walked this path 50 years ago. They went university together 50 years ago. Very nice and funny guys told us the details of trail and tips for river crossing.
I got very drowsy this night and slept really well.
