DAY130(3/15) Zero Day @McKellar Hut

It was raining from the early morning. The last night the warden told us it’d get heavy rain and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. So everyone was up early and left before sunrise.

Only us remained here, cleaning up and chopping logs before real rain comes. Heating with wood stove requires some exercise. It’s totally different from just turning a heater on, I think it’s affluence and makes life meaningful.

Eiji(warden) came in while having a late breakfast.

He offered us tea of course we say yes! First time entering a warden’s private room.

Enjoyable time talking with Eiji having nice tea.

Thanks Eiji-san!

We wish you enjoy the rest of TA on South Island!!!

I love this wide windows!

It was like living in a log house, doing yoga, taking a nap. It was a nice slow day.
