“I can feel strength inside.”
Nobu was tightening his fist and sensing recovery. Eating digestive food and food sleep were the key. I was so relieved.
Walking through Palmerston North then the trail starts. Drizzle started soon after and I put raincape. It’s really useful for changeable weather in NZ.
My legs were rusty from canoe trip I suppose. Stretching at some points for a change.
The weather wasn’t the best but I felt it was comfortable walking because Nobu was back in normal.
Unique mailboxes lined up. Kawaii!
Back Track
Taking pictures with Rob from here and Gail from Canada at the half point from last season.
We’ve passed our half point but having something like this makes me feel we’ve done the half already.
We camped after Back Track. There is new car park with a bran new toilet. Those are for bikers but they know we’re TAs. Hikers quite often stay here I guess.
I heard that the number of cyclists is increasing more than the number of hikers here in NZ. DOC is putting more money in these facilities for people who enjoy mostly weekends. And we share those some points as well. Good night.
